Scott has been interested in sports nutrition longer than being a Strength Coach. He used to read meticulously the ingredients in the various cereals he ate in the morning before school. He knew that his basketball practice would involve a lot of running and he wanted to have as much energy as possible for it.

Scott is a certified Sports Nutritionist from the International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN).

He has applied his knowledge of creating optimal athletes for the non-athlete as well.

If the goal is to perform your best for your sport or day-to-day activities, it is best to understand the needed nutrients, mealprep and supplements that may or may not be beneficial to improve your performance.

The following are a couple of questions that Scott considers prior to speaking to someone for their sport:

    1

    What is the sport?

Different sports require different energy systems which requires different modes of training and different nutrients. We will consider which eating regimens might be most beneficial, as well as which will optimize recovery for each training session and competition.

    2

    What is your fitness level?

Many people might want to run their first marathon or their 30th, an Olympic weightlifting competition or whatever competition, but we must understand the efficiency of the "internal machinery" first. We will consider the optimal body composition for the event and determine how we can get there optimally.

    3

What supplements are you currently taking in conjunction with your daily diet?

First, how is your daily eating regimen? Supplements might not even be necessary. Lets get the meal-to-meal eating on point and then we can go from there in terms of which supplements to consider.

    4

How much time do we have to get you at your best?

In other words, when is your competition? Do you have several games/matches per week or is it just once per week or once per month, etc. From there, we can consider how we may tweek your eating. Also, we will discuss what you have tried in the past and see what was worked with what did not seem to work and why or why not.
